The USA is doomed.

The people have learned nothing. For six years the Republicans did the following:

Deregulated banks.

Deregulated corporations.

Allowed massive bonuses.

Encouraged unlimited speculation.

Started a war based totally on falsehoods, lies and deceit.

Cut social programs.

And our nation collapsed into a great recession.

The Democrats were put in power. For two years they did the following:

Waffled on Universal Healthcare, giving companies protection.

Waffled on the war.

Waffled on social program support.

Waffled on Don't Ask Don't Tell.

Waffled on gay marriage.

Waffled on regulating companies.

Waffled on punishing BP for the Gulf spill.

Because the Democrats kept trying to compromise and for two years the Republicans absolutely refused to compromise on anything. They blocked unemployment benefits, they blocked Veteran benefits, they blocked mortgage extensions.

But now the Republicans have won big. Taking the House, most governor races and many local elections.

Now the House and Supreme Court are Republican, the House and President Democrat. So we're going to be screwed. The Green and Libertarian parties got some votes, but nothing like they should have considering the circumstances.

Throughout history this pattern has show two primary results.

1) The USA's past showed this pattern taking us into a Great Depression. I believe that will happen within the next four years.

2) A complete collapse of the government.

We are nearly a Corporatist State now, only a bit more and we will be. And from that point it's only a small step to Fascism.

I fear our future.
